TIFTON – Christy Kunes of Allen with Allen, Pritchett & Bassett LLC was named the 2017 recipient of the Prince Business Woman of the Year. The award was presented to her at the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet in February.
The award, presented annually by the Prince Automotive Group, recognizes the accomplishments of an outstanding business woman who has demonstrated excellence in her profession while dedicating her time and talents to the community.
Kunes is a Certified Public Accountant and the first female partner at APB. She is a graduate of Valdosta State University and Georgia Southern University with degrees in Accounting and Finance and has served in a variety of capacities in several civic organizations in Tifton. In the past, she has served as President of the Organization of Professional Women, Treasurer of the Tiftarea YMCA board and the Tiftarea Foundation for Women’s Health, Community Services Chairperson of the Tifton Kiwanis Club, Sponsorship Chairperson for the Tift County Relay for Life and is a graduate of the Chamber’s Leadership Tifton class.
Professionally, she is a member of the American Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
